HBNC HBNC was founded in 1989 as a community-based initiative to provide help, friendship, and support to the most disenfranchised people in the community.

Our mission is to build a strong, cohesive, and healthy community by developing and providing programs, activities and services that respond to the needs of the most disadvantaged and isolated people. The emphasis of all of our activities is on people and the relief of issues and concerns that impede them from living a successful and happy life. We develop and deliver programs and services in resp

onse to community needs. Presently, HBNC manages 30 funded programs that encompass aspects of aged care, family services, diversity, and social isolation.

We want to extend a massive, heartfelt thank you to the team at the Hervey Bay RSL for their ongoing monthly donation to our Comfort Kitchen program.

Comfort Kitchen is all about providing more than just a hot, nutritious meal—it’s about creating a safe, welcoming space for connection, conversation, and community support.

So far this year, we have proudly served 1,387 meals to local residents.

Running a weekly program on this scale takes a village, and the RSL’s consistent generosity plays a huge part in keeping our kitchen cooking and our community cared for.

Every single contribution helps us make sure no one in our region has to feel isolated or go without a meal. We are so incredibly grateful for your continued support of HBNC and our local community! 🤝✨
