The count down is on. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Queensland Garden Expo. Gates open at 8am on Thursday 4th July and the event runs each day until 4pm on Sunday 7th July.

We'll have more plants and a greater variety than ever before. Of course we'll have our rare bulbs and clivias, but within those ranges we've added extra interest like a greater range of Maguire's hippeastrums, some unusual crinum varieties, and variegated yellow Clivias. We're also taking rare variegated cycads (cycad variegata, syn. picta), k'gari apple trees (acronychia imperforata), and loads of other beautiful plants in sizes that are well established but still easy to carry home.

If you've been every year for the past 40 years, or if you've never been before, I'd encourage you to come along and have a look. There's good food, excellent coffee, landscape and vegetable garden displays, more guest speakers than you you could ever get to, and lots and lots of plants that you'll rarely find in retail stores.

On Saturday 7th October 2023 you'll find us at Plantapalooza at Rocklea.
The Queensland Garden Expo is usually our single public event for the year. So many of our plants are looking fabulous that we've decided to seize this great opportunity to showcase some of our flowering clivias, hippeastrums and a huge range of other plants including tropicals, indoor plants, landscaping and collectors varieties .
Plantapalooza is only held once a year and it's been hugely successful in the past and has attracted excellent customer reviews. See you there!

It’s less than a week to go before Queensland’s biggest & best gardening event. Im looking forward to seeing all of our regular customers as well as meeting lots of new ones at the Queensland Garden Expo at Nambour on Friday, Saturday and Sunday next week. If you’ve not been before you should come along as it’s a great day out with lots to see and do. Of course we’ll have our Clivias there, but lots of amazing bulbs too.

We've just published our new website. It's the same address www.goldenvalleynursery.com.au. Our new site provides information for our wholesale customers who are in the nursery and garden industries.
We'll still retail our plants but just twice a year at expos rather than online. Our two retail events this year are the Queensland Garden Expo in July and The Brisbane Garden and Plant Expo in October. If you're currently an online customer and you can't make it to one of these events then please ask your local garden centre or landscaper if they can stock our range.
Our plants are used by garden designers and landscapers, and we supply a significant number of garden centres, florists and pop-up shops in Queensland and New South Wales.
When you get a moment, please check out the new page - we're currently producing nearly 200 varieties so there's sure to be a plant that interests you.
