SACWA Hindmarsh Valley Branch

SACWA Hindmarsh Valley Branch Building on a Legacy of Sharing and Caring with Action. On June 8, 1940, the women of Hindmarsh Valley District met in the local school.

The purpose of the meeting was to devise plans by which the residents could help
with WW2 relief work. Thus the Hindmarsh Valley Work Circle came into being. By 1943, after serving a strenuous period as an affiliated member of Victor
Harbor CWA, the group was granted Branch status. Some of our members live in the Rural locality of Hindmarsh Valley
(City of Victor Harbor District), others have reti

red from their H.V. properties to
live in Victor Harbor (returning to H.V. for CWA meetings) and others from the
District have joined us for our friendly, country style ambience.
