: Police are urging people to STAY INSIDE, with strong winds and severe weather affecting many parts of Tasmania this evening.

Police have received reports of fallen trees and power lines in various locations across the state, with some power and phone line outages occurring, and are advising people to reconsider their need to travel on the roads.

"Please stay inside if you can, and beware of the risk of falling trees and powerlines."

If travelling on the roads, police advise you to please:
- Drive at a speed that allows plenty of time to stop quickly
- Do not try and travel if you can’t see clearly out your windscreen
- Be aware the roads may be slippery, and you could be driving on ice and black ice, which is almost invisible
- Leave plenty of space between your vehicle and the vehicle ahead

A Hobart woman has gotten the fright of her life recently, finding a CRICKET in her supermarket groceries!

Nicole Gates says she found the cricket in her bag of spinach, which she purchased recently from the Shoreline Plaza Woolworths on Hobart's Eastern Shore.

A Woolworths corporate spokesperson says the company takes food safety and quality seriously and are aware of the customer’s report.

"It appears to be an isolated incident, as we’re unaware of any other reports of a similar nature on this product at this time."

Woolworths tell Pulse they have provided the customer with a $50 gift voucher, in the interim, to apologise for the inconvenience.
