A message to all followers of the UTAS Women's Collective.

We would like to thank all those involved in the formation and the promotion of the UTAS Women's Collective over the last few years. Unfortunately the Women's Collective has since dissolved. This page will however be kept as an archive of their history and involvement in many important movements across the university and beyond.

The newly formed UTAS Women's Society will help carry the torch of the work done by the Women's collective. The UTAS Women's Society will provide a safe space and community for women, non-binary and non-conforming individuals to meet, learn and grow together.

Thank you for your support, and we hope you can continue to support our allies in the UTAS Women's Society.

Hi members, especially new members from Semester One 2021!
Firstly, many thanks to the outgoing committee for representing women, gender non-conforming, and nonbinary students at UTas.
Our new committee for 2021 will be formed at the AGM on the 3rd of March @ 7pm. Please message the page for more details.
I am very happy to be handing over my responsibilities to Lucy Camilla- our new Admin. I am really excited to see how the new admin and committee will represent women, gender non-conforming, and nonbinary students and where they will take the UTas WoCo in 2021.
Thank you so much for having me around over the years in various roles and capacities (Admin, Secretary, Vice President, and President). I will be forever grateful for the experience.
With the warmest and sincerest of regards,
Saffire Grant.

HERE IN TAS... We successfully got a few court orders through the campaign launched by Nina Funnel & Grace Tame which led to changing archaic legislation preventing victims of child sexual assault and sexual assault from speaking publicly about their side of the story. Raising money to fight in court for survivors victims/survivors to share their stories and drove change here and is doing so in the NT. Some victims/survivors sharing their stories publicly for the first time publicly in two decades!
NOW VIC PASSES LEGISLATION TO SILENCE SURVIVORS IN 2020! This cannot stand. We will not be silenced!

Pro Choice answers to this survey are going to be vital in fighting back against the ACL who are trying to hijack it :/ Its not very inclusive (cissexist, heteronormative, binary) but if you can manage go ahead! Its a bit confusingly written so be careful!
