I'm up at the evandale market most of the stalls are outside. I've spoken to some and they are disappointed when the weather is cold or wet. It's sunny but cold people are everywhere, the market is held in a park near the Center of the town.

Hi my name is Phillip Gent

I am hoping that this information may help you expand into the Hobart area.

I am in the middle of a proposal to the Tasmanian government to finance a purpose built market that can open seven days a week 363 days a year. There will be a bakery, a butcher a mixed business, with this being said all application's will be assessed on a first in First dressed.
There will be three areas two will be typical market one will be casual the other permanent placements, the third is where I am inviting you to apply for an eight by four meter area which will be all alarmed and security camera patrolled. We will also have storage area which you should also specify what size you will need. This area will have lighting and air conditioned power and the shops will be enclosed and lockable

I am looking forward to your application, I have a coffee shop, and a few other retailers who have expressed interested

Please give this some consideration as this placement will only cost $10.00 per meter per day discounted 50% for the opening and then for six months. After this time you and others will be offered a lease.

Today " this afternoon " I received both good and bad news from the GCC

The good nes first the letter clearly stated that the market would have to rezone the area near the Derwent Entertainment Centre which isn't in the best interest of the Market.

The General Manager said that there will be other grounds that the council will be more than willing to consider giving at no charge to this group so in a few weeks I have to make formal application for the parcel of land that is suitable for this proposal this takes place four to six weeks away

Rang a lady at the council in regard to getting any response from them, but like the Mayor and the business manager she seems to have forgotten to ring me back. Really just how do you get so side track that you don't return a phone call in ten minutes!
