Calling all emerging producers!

Bus Stop Films is looking for a team of emerging producers to come on board for its 2026 class film projects as Inclusive Producer's Attachments. They will work with the team to bring to life 21 inclusively made short films being produced through the Accessible Filmmaking Program.

The program is generously supported by Bus Stop Films together with Screen Tasmania, Screen NSW, Screen Queensland, VicScreen, Screen Canberra, Screen Territory and Screenwest.

Created in partnership with Screen Tasmania, Screen Canberra, Screen NSW, Screen Queensland , Screen Territory, Screenwest, South Australian Film Corporation and VicScreen, this new national program is designed to strengthen and elevate First Nations screen businesses in international markets.

The program for the 73rd Sydney Film Festival is out now! Congratulations to the two Tasmanian films selected.

Documentary The Piano Tuner by Natalia Laska received Production Support through Screen Tasmania, and was half filmed in Tasmania, with several local crew members.

Feature film Yesterday Island was filmed on the spectacular King Island and directed by Sam Voutas.

With more than 40 locally made games played by people of all ages, our very first Cosplay Competition presented by Dr Emerald King, and a whole program of inspiring talks, the 2026 edition was a big celebration of the incredible creative talent we have here in Tasmania.

For Film's Sake (FFS) and Sydney Film Festival (SFF) are inviting applications for the screen development incubator Platform, which returns to the festival for a fourth year.

Over six days, 12 emerging and established screen producers and multidisciplinary creatives will collaborate, develop and pitch new works of screen fiction, guided by international mentors and filmmaking guests of the 73rd SFF.

Applications are on a rolling basis, with the final deadline of Friday 29 May 2026.

For Film's Sake is Australia's flagship advocacy organisation providing opportunity for all women in production, distribution and cultural exhibition.
