This Friday (22 May) is National Walk Safely to School Day. NTPS will be participating by leading a walk to school group. If you would like to be involved, please meet at John Kennedy Park park on the corner of Pedder and Carlton Streets and Ms McGuinness will lead the walk to school, leaving the park at 8:30am.
Now in its 27th year, National Walk Safely to School Day encourages primary school children, their parents and carers to walk safely and regularly to school. Walking every day builds confidence, improves concentration and establishes healthy habits for life - while making our roads safer and our air cleaner for everyone. You can teach your child the healthy habit of walking more by:
β€’ Walking with them the whole way to school
β€’ If they get the bus, walk past your usual stop and get on at the next stop
β€’ If you have to drive, park the car a few blocks away from the school and walk the rest of the way.
We look forward to seeing many of our students walking to school on Friday!

🌟 Pre-Kinder is Beginning in Term 3! 🌟
We are excited to welcome our newest little learners to New Town Primary Pre-Kinder beginning Monday 27th July (week 1) for children born in 2022.
Pre-Kinder sessions will run weekly on Mondays from 9:00am – 10:00am in the LiL space. This is a wonderful opportunity for children to become familiar with the school environment, build confidence, make new friends and enjoy fun learning experiences together.
To attend Pre-Kinder, families will need to formally enrol their child or complete an expression of interest form for an out of area enrolment.
Please see the office for all enrolment and expression of interest forms. We look forward to meeting our future students and their families! 😊
