Met East – AFL
Congratulations to Lachie (Year 12) on his outstanding achievement at the 15–17 years Queensland AFL State Championships.
Representing Met East as a half forward, Lachie played an important role throughout the tournament as the team produced a dominant series of performances. Met East defeated Sunshine Coast in the semi-final before overcoming South Coast in the final to be crowned Queensland State Champions.
A fantastic achievement. Well done, Lachie!

VOLLEYBALL IMMERSION

Our Year 9 and 10 students headed to Salisbury State School to share their love of volleyball with the school’s Year 4 and 5 students.

The day was all about learning, having fun and getting active, with our students stepping up as coaches and mentors. They guided the younger students through key volleyball skills, including serving, setting and digging, before putting those skills into practice during some energetic games.

It was wonderful to watch our students demonstrate leadership, patience and encouragement while helping the primary students develop their confidence on the court.

We think there may be some future volleyball stars at Salisbury State School, and we loved seeing their enthusiasm and willingness to give it a go!

A huge thank you to Salisbury State School for having us. We had a fantastic time and look forward to continuing to build connections through sport!
