Hi everybody,
We are posting to update you on what has been happening, as it has been some time since our last post.
Our summer season was marked by extreme heat and significant events. Due to the intense temperatures, we made the deliberate decision to refrain from participating in events since the start of 2026, prioritizing the welfare and safe transportation of our animals.
The heatwaves presented considerable challenges, and our primary focus was ensuring the health and well-being of our animals by keeping them cool. Unfortunately our property was impacted by bushfires, meaning we had to do an emergency evacuation of as many animals as possible, although fortunately, the property itself was ultimately saved.
During this period, we sadly lost Adam, our Albino Darwin Carpet Python, whose passing was not related to the bushfires but seemed to be heat related, we suspect it may have been a faulty thermostat or the stresses from the extreme weather, his death was quite sudden. This period of time was devastating to us. We took a temporary break from posting as a result. 💔
As time passed by, we had decided to start constructing new lizard pits for our shinglebacks and blue tongues and are saving up money for an insulated reptile room.
We are now resuming our work schedule this weekend and look forward to a productive year ahead with our business and animals. 💕
Regards,
Michael & Neve
