❓Do you have a Static Water Supply?

When fighting a bush or grass fire, having access to a reliable water supply can make all the difference!

Across Horsley Park and our surrounding communities, many properties have water tanks, swimming pools and dams that could provide valuable water for firefighting operations.

There are two simple ways you can help our crews:

💧 Install a Storz fitting on your water tank to allow fire appliances to connect and access water quickly.

🚒 Display a Static Water Supply (SWS) sign on your front gate if you have at least 3,000 litres of water available in a tank, pool or dam.

✅ Need an SWS sign? Drop into Horsley Park Fire Station when our members are in attendance and pick one up for FREE!

These small preparations help our firefighters identify and access water supplies when time is critical.

🔥The Greater Sydney Region is forecasted to experience Extreme fire risk today as we reach temperatures in the 30’s with strong winds.

🚫 A Total Fire Ban is in force 🚫

🟠 Take action now to protect your life and property

🔥 During a Total Fire Ban you cannot light, maintain or use a fire in the open, or to carry out any activity in the open that causes, or is likely to cause, a fire.

The NSW RFS strongly recommends you reconsider activities such as such using a tractor or slashing, to help reduce the chance of a fire starting on your property.

📞 Call 000 for all fires a fire truck is not in attendance.

5 days to go until things get a little chilly at Horsley Park! 🥶

Some of our brave (or slightly crazy) firefighters are swapping fire for ice and taking on the Big Freeze Challenge to raise funds for Motor Neurone Disease (MND). 💙

🍃 Keeping your gutters clear is essential for reducing your risk. The more you prepare your home, the more likely it will survive a bush fire or ember attack, even if you leave early.
