Today is White Cane Day - a day to celebrate the achievements of people who are blind or have low vision. It's also a chance to celebrate the symbol of independence for many – the white cane.

Everyone has the right to feel safe and independent in their home - it's why we advocate that everyone have an escape plan and in the event of a fire, know to get out, stay out and call Triple Zero (000)

If you'd like to find out more about the role that community and disability service providers and disability advocates play in person-centered emergency preparedness sign up for Person-Centred Emergency Preparedness webinar here: https://fal.cn/3j3qs
