Emergency services funding in NSW is under review.

The NSW Government is seeking feedback on changes to how services such as Fire and Rescue NSW, NSW Rural Fire Service and NSW State Emergency Service are paid for.

Under one proposal, a new annual property-based charge would replace part of the current insurance-based funding model.

Georges River residents and business owners are encouraged to review the proposals and provide feedback.

Submissions close 19 June 2026.
