Mary Valley State College Established in 1857, Mary Valley State College offers coeducational schooling from prep to year 10. The current enrolment is approximately 150 students.

🌭FREE BBQ BREAKFAST TOMORROW - FRIDAY 5 JUNE! 🌭

A huge thank you to IGA Imbil, who will be providing a FREE BBQ breakfast for our students tomorrow morning!

Students are invited to grab a sausage sizzle or bowl of cereal outside the Tuckshop from 8:00am to 8:45am before the start of the school day.

We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support that IGA Imbil provides to our school and local community. Please join us in thanking them for this generous gesture!

A reminder that school photos will be taking place tomorrow, Thursday 4 June.

Please ensure students arrive at school in their full school uniform and looking their best 😊

Due to the Book Fair happening in the library this week, Sibling photos will be taken in in C Block (next to the Music Room) before school, so families requiring sibling photos are encouraged to arrive early.

🔧 Playground Upgrade Notice 🔧

You may have noticed that our playgrounds have been fenced off.

We are excited to let families know that some much-needed upgrades and maintenance works are taking place to improve our playground areas for students. As a result, the playgrounds will be closed and out of use from today, Wednesday 3 June, until Friday 5 June.

We appreciate everyone's patience while these improvements are completed and look forward to reopening the upgraded spaces for our students to enjoy.

We're excited to be trialling sushi at our tuckshop and we'd love your support!

To help us decide whether sushi should become a regular menu item, we're holding a special Sushi Day and inviting students to give it a try next Wednesday 3 June!

🍱 Meal Deal — $8
Includes 1 Sushi Roll, 1 Popper & 1 Cookie

All sushi is made fresh on the day so must be pre-ordered.

Just a friendly reminder that there will be NO band rehearsal or lessons tomorrow.

As a one-off change, next week’s BAND and LESSONS will be held on WEDNESDAY instead.

As part of the Year 9/10 Food Specialisation class this term, our students will be running a small café this Friday for Secondary students and staff!

Secondary Students and Teachers can order and purchase food from the café menu during First Break on Friday 29 May.

🍽 Menu:
• Fried Rice – $5.00
• Sausage Rolls – $3.50
• Banana Bread – 2 slices for $1.00
• Butterfly Vanilla Cupcakes – $2.00

📝 Orders must be returned by today for Friday’s café.

Students have been given order forms to use.

📚✨ Today our Primary students joined thousands of children across Australia to take part in National Simultaneous Storytime!

This year’s featured story was Luna Roo: The Kangaroo Baller, and our students had a wonderful time sharing the story together as a school community. 🦘⚽️

A huge thank you to Mrs Dilger for organising this special event and for helping students create their very own Luna Roo jerseys. The creativity and enthusiasm on display made the day even more magical! 💙

📸 School Photo Update - POSTPONED 📸

Unfortunately, our school photos scheduled for tomorrow will need to be postponed.

The photography company has advised that photos will now likely take place either Thursday or Friday, with the confirmed date to be provided tomorrow.

We wanted to let families know as soon as possible so parents are not needing to arrive early for sibling photos unnecessarily.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to our students, families, and staff, and appreciate your understanding.

Further updates will be shared as soon as the new date is confirmed.
