Well Old Ingebirah has managed to survive the summer from hell with minimal impact from the terrible bushfires that surrounded eastern Australia.
Whilst we had many anxious moments the property and surrounding bushland remains intact and relatively undisturbed. The pristine wilderness of the south eastern
area of Kosciusko National Park and Lower Snowy River country were amazingly spared from any direct fire and remain as magical as ever. And now after over ten inches of wonderful rain has ensured that the best Autumn break in
many years is transforming the country side into a vibrant green landscape.
Old Ingebirah Farmstay is also now offering self guided horse riding tours. As anyone who rode with us in the years of Snowy River Horseback Adventure can testify we are blessed to have at our backdoor access to some amazing riding country with over 8000 acres of State Forest available full of wildlife and superb vistas. Many brumbies graze the lush valleys and hills of tall alpine ash trees and which are also home to many kangaroos, wallabies, wombats , echidnas as well as abundant birdlife and deer.
Riders are also able to utilize the large arenas and open paddocks which form part of this part of mountain paradise. Ample yards and water are available for your horse. Please enquire for availability and pricing.
