3-year-olds don't need to know their ABCs for kindergarten.
What they DO need:
* To wait their turn on the slide without pushing and shoving to be first
* The courage to try new tasks even when they look hard (so many kids give up before they even start!)
* Running across the yard without falling over - being confident and active outdoors
* Body control to sit and listen during story time (they'll need this skill constantly at school)
* To keep trying when they mess up - because mistakes happen every single day when you're learning
The letters and numbers will come. But these skills? They're everything.
