...and the very next day, a few of our team did a joint Survival At Sea training with Southern Peninsula Rescue Service.
We train and are qualified to undertake maritime search and rescue operations on all Victorian coastal and inland waters, from Mildura to Mallacoota!
If you want to be part of the action, based right here in Inverloch, we'd love to you come and join in.

On a very windy day last week, a couple of our team members went out from Mahers Landing to prepare for upcoming boat training. Ie confirming navigation markers and sand bars.

The approach back into Mahes looked a bit hairy but they made it back to boat another day. 🌬️

Along with Spring training we have had a busy month.
Still clearing trees, then MSAR training at Mahers Landing, then Blessing of the fleet at San Remo.

Spring training for our Unit together with others from across Gippsland.
We practiced storm, flood, industrial and general rescue techniques ahead of a busy Summer season.

So it was a bit blowy last weekend with 90kmph wind gusts. Our crew went into action and were out at all hours cleaning up roads and driveways so our local community could go about there business in safety.
Working in shifts, they were out from 3am to 5pm on Saturday, then out again on Sunday for more jobs.
Well done crew!

As well as the Inverloch Equinox Festival, your Inverloch SES recently helped out new marine search and rescue recruit training at Blairgowrie with Southern Peninsula Rescue Squad and Emergency Services Victoria.
You don't need any boating experience to join in our activities, so get in touch and come and help,out our great community!
