1. Cut stamp duty by finally getting the ultra-wealthy to pay their fair share of tax
2. Build public housing, and stop demolishing it
3. Limit rent increases to wage growth or inflation (whichever is lowest - and best - for renters)

You know what baffles me? Decent people are doing it so tough while greedy people profit from that struggle.
We should all be able to afford a good life, but I hear how hard it is to get ahead all the time, from people who are raising their kids in our schools. People who are working in our cafes, people who are stocking our shelves, fixing our roads, nursing our families. Even if they work hard and do everything right, it’s still such a struggle.
There’s like 7 properties for rent in Wonthaggi up on the Domain app right now, and none of them would be affordable to a person on Centrelink. Rents keep rising. Bills and groceries cost more every month.
The major parties take millions in donations from big corporations and billionaires.
They work for their corporate donors. The Greens are fighting for you.
The Greens don’t take big corporate donations and never will. We’re fighting for you to make big corporations pay their fair share, to fund the things we all need for a better life.
The Greens will cap rents, bring down the cost of buying a home, make public transport free and frequent, and lower energy bills through real climate action.
If you’re fed up with the major parties and want a better life, demand better.
If you want to help make the big corporations pay so that decent people can live a decent life, get involved with the campaign.

What an incredible weekend at the 2026 Victorian Greens Campaign Conference! 💚🔥
It was inspiring to be surrounded by so many passionate people who are ready to fight for a fairer, greener future for Victoria.
We heard about the campaign strategy and vision for this year’s election, learned from movement leaders about the challenges facing our communities, and picked up practical skills in campaigning and organising. Most importantly, we connected with people who believe that politics can put people and planet before corporate profits.
With the cost of living rising, housing becoming increasingly unaffordable, and the climate crisis demanding urgent action, it was energising to hear real solutions and see so many people ready to make them a reality.
The road to November is on, and after a weekend in the big smoke, I’m feeling more hopeful than ever. Change doesn’t happen on its own - it happens when ordinary people come together and organise for it.
Let’s make history in 2026. 🌱✊
