Ipswich Special School Thrift Shop

Wednesday mornings 9:30-10:30am senior students will be running our school's thrift shop (not open if it’s raining) - Everything is only $1!

We are located outside the main school fence, within the middle car park, behind the flexi school.

We have a wide range of adults and children's clothing, shoes, winter beanies and scarves, jewellery, toys, homewares, dress ups, books, DVDs, the list goes on.

We have an eftpos machine available and are happy to take cash.

So, if you're looking for a bargain, or just need some Wednesday morning retail therapy, the senior students and staff would love to see you at the Ipswich Special School Thrift Shop.

It is with great pleasure that we announce the appointment of Kristy Elford as the new substantive Principal of Ipswich Special School. Kristy will begin her role on Monday 8/6/26.
Kristy brings a wealth of experience in special education, inclusive practices, and school leadership.
Over the coming weeks, Kristy will work closely with staff, students, and families to continue building on the strong culture and positive partnerships that make Ipswich Special School such a special place.
Please join us in warmly welcoming Kristy to her substantive role as Principal of Ipswich Special School.

Our school Dulmur Special Dancers were invited by Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority to open their Reconciliation Week event in Brisbane today! Our Junior Secondary and Senior dancers used Proloquo2Go, Key Word Sign and their voices to deliver the Acknowledgement of Country, and then performed 2 dances to people from around Queensland as the event was live streamed, as well as having people in the room with us!

Our dancers made us so proud ❤️🖤💛 and they had such a wonderful experience, especially going to Brisbane on the bus, going up to the 24th floor, and sharing their culture and skills so proudly 🎊
