What an incredible milestone — 40 years of caring, community and connection! 💙

Today we celebrate the wonderful legacy of Brisbane Valley Meals on Wheels and the countless lives touched by this incredible service over the past five decades.

A very special congratulations to our amazing Service Coordinator, Kassy, for all that you do to keep the service running and to support our wonderful team. Your dedication and commitment are truly appreciated. 🌟

And, of course, a heartfelt THANK YOU to each and every one of our amazing volunteers. ❤️ Your time, kindness, friendship and generosity are the heart of Brisbane Valley Meals on Wheels. Without you, this service simply wouldn’t be what it is today.

🍽️ Happy National Meals on Wheels Day! 💙

Today we celebrated with our very first Let’s Do Lunch, Together at our Ipswich service! It was a wonderful opportunity for our clients and volunteers to come together, share a meal, enjoy some laughs and celebrate the community that makes Meals on Wheels so special, with plenty of fun along the way! ☕🎉

The day included colouring in, word searches, bingo and Heads & Tails — with some lovely mugs up for grabs for our lucky winners!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made the day so memorable, and an even bigger thank you to our incredible volunteers. ❤️ Your time, kindness and dedication are what make Meals on Wheels what it is.

Here’s to connection, community, good food and great company. 🥰

We believe everyone deserves access to nutritious meals, connection and support — and Meals on Wheels is available to anyone who needs it.

Whether you’re looking for a little extra support, recovering from illness, finding it harder to cook, or simply need a helping hand, you don’t have to navigate it alone.

A huge thank you to the wonderful ladies of QCWA Glenore Grove Branch for your thoughtful donation of beautifully hand-crocheted tea towels for our Meals on Wheels clients.

More than just a tea towel, each one was made and wrapped with care — a little reminder to our clients that their community is thinking of them.

Small acts of kindness can make a big difference. When we come together, we can do so much more.
This is what community looks like. 💙

🎨 What a fantastic couple of days!

A huge thank you to another amazing group of students from the The Industry School - Ipswich who generously donated their time and energy to give our building a fresh new look.

Our little room has been transformed with a bright, fresh coat of paint and is well on its way to becoming a welcoming staff breakout room. The hall has also had a makeover—and we can all agree it’s a big improvement on the previous colour (whatever colour you would call it😄).

None of this would have been possible without the incredible support of the team from Higgins Coatings, who once again generously donated not only their time and expertise but also all of the paint.

Community partnerships like these make such a difference, and we’re so grateful for your ongoing support.

Thank you all for helping us create a brighter, more welcoming space for our staff, volunteers and community. 💙

🎉 Celebrating 40 Years of Brisbane Valley Meals on Wheels! 🎉

This Tuesday, we celebrated 40 years of serving our local community with a sausage sizzle, cake, and the wonderful company of our dedicated volunteers.

A big thank you to our Service Coordinator, Kassy, for organising the celebration and for her ongoing dedication to the service, and to Richard, our Management Committee President, for joining us on the day.

Most importantly, thank you to our incredible volunteers. Your kindness and commitment are the heart of our service, and we simply couldn’t do it without you. 💙
