YOWIE RESEARCH GOLD COAST HINTERLAND & LINVILLE REPORT: WINDOW ENCOUNTER AND TREE DAMAGE
Reported By: A Member Of This group
Location: Gold Coast Hinterland and Linville, Queensland
THE ENCOUNTER:
About 40 years ago, I swear I saw one in the Gold Coast hinterland. We were sleeping in the back of an old Falcon station wagon when it came right up to the window and stared straight at me. I was completely frozen and too scared to even move. It was only about the height of the car roof, so I believe it was a juvenile hairy Yowie.
Separately, my ex-husband used to work as a tree clearer up above Linville. He and his crew would often see trees heavily knocked around up there. Obviously, in those days, nobody had mobile phones on hand to capture any proof. On top of that, a good friend of his from Linville swore his entire life that he saw one right on the train line near Leo's Bridge. If they existed back then, there is absolutely no reason why they can't still be around today.
YOWIE CHASER QUESTION ANSWER
Whereabouts in the Gold Coast hinterland did your vehicle encounter take place, Cherie, and did the figure ever put its hands on the glass to look inside? Have any other members or local caravaners spotted unusual activity or tree damage around the Linville area recently?
