Local Land Services is hosting a Producers Support Day at the Jingellic Hub and we encourage you to drop in if you can.

This relaxed, come-and-go day is a chance to speak one-on-one with people who understand current conditions, with practical support available around livestock management, managing cattle and sheep throug fire, feed and water stress, early weaning, supplements, agistment risks, as well as business, financial, health and wellbeing support.

When: Thursday 29 January 2026, anytime between 8.00am–4.00pm
Where: Jingellic Hub, 3211 River Road, Jingellic
Cost: Free – breakfast, smoko and lunch provided

On behalf of the Jingellic Rural Fire Brigade, Jingellic Hub and our local residents, we extend our sincere thanks to NSW Rural Fire Service - Southern Border District, NSW RFS Riverina Highlands, Mayor Lea Parker, Mayor Julia Ham, Holbrook Rotary Club and supporting agencies, for their unbelievable support, resources, advocacy, care, presence and outstanding communication during the Mt Lawson / Walwa fire.

While the fire is not yet fully extinguished, the professionalism, coordination and visible on-ground presence have provided enormous reassurance to our community during an incredibly challenging time. Our thoughts are with our neighbouring communities who have been impacted, and we stand with them during this challenging time.

To all local and neighbouring RFS crews, thank you for standing up once again. Your commitment, compassion and tireless efforts are deeply appreciated.

Victorian fire agencies are today conducting backburning operations as work continues to contain a bush fire burning in the Mt Lawson National Park area, south of the Murray River and east of Albury. Communities in south east NSW will notice an increase in smoke as a result of this work. The fire remains south of the Murray River and is not threatening property in NSW.
