🚨 CALLING FOR OLD / NON-WORKING CARS 🚨

As a volunteer rescue agency responsible for all road crash rescue, we regularly train alongside other emergency services to ensure we can provide the highest level of care and safety to our community.

We are currently seeking old, damaged, or non-working vehicles that can be donated for an upcoming multi-agency training and assessment exercise. These vehicles will be used to practice real-life road crash rescue scenarios involving multiple services working together.

🚗 What we’re looking for:

Old or unwanted cars

Non-running or damaged vehicles

Vehicles no longer fit for road use

📍 Why this matters:
This training helps our volunteers and partner agencies stay skilled, coordinated, and ready to respond when real emergencies happen on our roads.

🚨 Incident Response – Road Crash Rescue🚨

On Saturday evening, our rescue unit was activated to a serious motor vehicle collision involving multiple patients and entrapment.

Rescue resources were quickly mobilised, with crews responding promptly and arriving to find members of the public already providing assistance. Their actions were calm, compassionate, and instrumental in the early care of those involved.

Upon arrival, initial scene assessment and lighting were established, and immediate patient care was commenced until ambulance services arrived. Rescue personnel worked closely alongside paramedics to assist with patient stabilisation and transfer.

Once all patients were transported, the scene was secured and left in place for investigative purposes. Rescue crews then continued to support other responding agencies by providing essential scene lighting and assistance.

A special acknowledgment goes to our dedicated rescue volunteers who remained on scene through the night and into the early morning hours to ensure ongoing support and safety.

This incident highlighted the incredible teamwork between the public and all emergency services. Thank you to everyone involved for your professionalism, commitment, and dedication.

At approximately 1640, Junee Rescue responded to a single-vehicle MVA.

On arrival, crews located one patient seated in the driver’s seat, confined by injury and pain.
A partial side removal and dash lift were performed to safely extricate the patient.

NSW Ambulance treated and stabilised the patient on scene before transporting to hospital in a stable condition.

This was a particularly significant job for Rescue NSW. As mentioned in a previous post, Junee is one of four locations trialling a new initiative where SES and VRA Rescue NSW collaborate on training and response. After weeks of joint training, Junee Rescue NSW tasked SES to respond alongside us.

Today’s incident is a clear demonstration of teamwork, interoperability, and commitment to the community—regardless of agency.
