Our RoboClub students have started exploring Tinkercad this term, learning how to design and build their own 3D models. Using their creativity, problem solving skills and digital technology knowledge, students are discovering how to turn their ideas into digital designs and then bring them to life using our school’s 3D printers!

Rowan of Rin, Retelling Through Drawing

Students in 4B have begun reading Rowan of Rin. To support their comprehension of each chapter, students have been drawing the sequence of key events in the story. Each drawing helps them capture important details, characters, actions and changes in the plot.

Using their visual sequence as a scaffold, students then use their drawings to orally retell the story in the correct order, while demonstrating an understanding of the author’s intent and key details within the text.
