It's not just about the game. It's about community.

Whether you're on the field, on the sidelines, volunteering or catching up with friends, sporting clubs are a great place to connect.

We know many people hesitate to ask when they think someone might be doing it tough. But a simple check-in can make all the difference.

Take a moment to check in with a teammate, mate or volunteer.

๐Ÿ’› "How have you been going?"

A simple conversation can mean more than you know.

You can find support, conversation tips and free resources on the R U OK? website: https://www.ruok.org.au/how-to-ask?fbclid=IwY2xjawUMgKVwZG9mAWV4dG4DYWVtAjEwAGJyaWQRMVl6Q3g2ZmllWk5vRjdXbUVzcnRjBmFwcF9pZBAyMjIwMzkxNzg4MjAwODkyAAEeMwcOvVqGMASYMh43AwT0eRvHy-S2Q7fJdIsp9f3kYupYWTVD7YDwsZQDaOc_aem_psSacIwtz-5zp4-uItxc2Q

A conversation can start anywhere. Even at the kitchen table.

Whether it's over breakfast, a cuppa or dinner with the family, taking a few minutes to check in with someone can make a real difference.

This R U OK? day make time to ask: ๐Ÿ’› "Are you OK?"

A genuine conversation, a listening ear, and a simple check-in can help someone feel supported and connected.

Sometimes the most meaningful conversations happen in the simplest moments.

๐Ÿ’› R U OK? Day is this Thursday

A simple conversation could change a life.

This year's message is: If you're thinking it, Ask R U OK? Any Day.

Many people hesitate to ask, even when they think someone might be struggling. That's why R U OK? is encouraging us to trust our instincts and start a conversation when someone's on our mind.

Asking "Are you OK?" doesn't need to be perfect, it just needs to happen.

Throughout this week, we'll be sharing a series of posts highlighting the many places in our community where meaningful conversations can happen, from the kitchen table to the sporting club and out in the paddock.

We also has a range of free R U OK? resources available from the Council Office, including:

๐Ÿ‘‹ A Quick Guide to Asking R U OK?
๐Ÿ‘‹ The Mateship Manual
๐Ÿ‘‹ How to Help Someone Doing It Tough
๐Ÿ‘‹ Resources for Small Business Owners
๐Ÿ‘‹ Tips on How to Start the Conversation
๐Ÿ‘‹ Free R U OK? Wristbands
๐Ÿ‘‹ Free Kids Activity Books (limited supply)

Can't make it into the office? You can access these and other free resources online at:
https://www.ruok.org.au/community

๐ŸŒณ You'll also notice the Karoonda main street trees glowing yellow each night throughout this week in support of R U OK? Day.

๐Ÿ’› Ask R U OK? Any Day, because a conversation could change a life.
