Big Nick was a passionate advocate for WA and especially regional WA.

He was a great friend and mentor to many in the Pilbara and will be sorely missed.

Our sincere condolences go out to Big Nick’s Family.

The Nationals WA are deeply saddened by the passing of our former Federal and State Candidate and passionate regional advocate, Nick Fardell.

Nick was a tireless campaigner for regional WA, and a fiercely committed servant of his community.

We are grateful for Nick’s service to The Nationals WA and the legacy he leaves as a proud Kalgoorlie-Boulder local champion.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Nicks family and all who knew and loved him.

The Nationals WA will restore Royalties for Regions to its former glory, and then we will reform the Act to ensure no matter who is in Government, the funding reaches the communities it is designed for.

Labor’s cultural heritage chaos has left every landowner in Western Australia in a state of uncertainty, forcing them to navigate a bureaucratic nightmare just to carry out basic activities on their own land.

Despite being forced to repeal the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2021, Labor has failed to fix the mess they created - and now, landowners, local governments, and contractors must seek permission for even minor works near waterways from a Department that isn’t properly resourced to handle it.
