🎨 Colouring-In Competition – Due Date Extended!

Great news for all our creative students! The due date for the Colouring-In Competition has been extended to Term 2, Week 1.

Students are encouraged to complete their colouring pages over the holidays so they can take their time and produce their best work.

Please remember to bring:

All Katherine government schools except MacFarlane Primary School will remain open on Wednesday 25 March 2026.
Transition to Year 6 MacFarlane Primary School Students will continue to access an alternate learning program, delivered by MacFarlane teachers from Katherine South Primary School.
Buses will be available from MacFarlane for students to be transported to Katherine South. Alternatively, parents can drop off and collect students from Katherine South.
Separate communications for the MacFarlane Primary School community will be provided by the school principal.
Please follow all emergency advice and monitor SecureNT and BOM sites. Be aware that river conditions may change rapidly and obey all road closure signage and never attempt to drive through floodwater. If it’s flooded, forget it.

Good Afternoon Cas Street families,

We have just been informed by Territory Transit that they will not be completing the Morris Road bus run past the hospital and out to Gorge Road today. They have advised that the route is currently unsafe due to flooding.

We will provide further updates as soon as more information becomes available.

Katherine High School and MacFarlane Primary School have been established as emergency shelters.

Casua­r­i­na Street Pri­ma­ry School is locat­ed in the town of Kather­ine, 315km south of Dar­win. Casua­r­i­na Street Pri­ma­ry School (CSPS) is locat­ed on Casua­r­i­na Street in Kather­ine East, Kather­ine. The school first opened in 1998 and our grounds con­tain four gen­er­al learn­ing areas, each with four class­rooms and com­mu­nal work­ing spaces for addi­tion­al work with stu­dents; as well as a library, mul­ti-pur­pose hall and stage, can­teen and sin­gle unit preschool set amongst well main­tained grounds with a com­bi­na­tion of shad­ed and open play­ing areas and out­door facil­i­ties. The vision for our school — ​‘We Strive to Achieve’ is reflec­tive of a com­mu­ni­ty where learn­ers can iden­ti­fy aspi­ra­tional goals for ongo­ing improve­ment and can artic­u­late a plan to achieve this, demon­strat­ing growth towards and beyond their tar­gets each year.
