Every drop counts 💧

From homes and businesses to visitors exploring the region, our everyday actions can have a real impact on the quality of stormwater entering the Blue Mountains environment.

That’s why Blue Mountains City Council has partnered with WaterNSW to highlight the role community engagement plays in protecting local and keeping healthy waterways.

⚠️ Never bin a battery.

Loose or embedded batteries should never go in your household kerbside bins. They contain hazardous chemicals and when disposed of incorrectly, can cause serious fires in trucks and waste facilities.

Let’s do our part to keep our community safe by recycling batteries the right way. Visit B-cycle for local, convenient and safe battery disposal options. 🔋♻️

Together, we’ve Got it Sorted.

Batteries, both loose and embedded can be taken to Katoomba or Blaxland Resource Recovery and Waste Management facilities. https://www.bmcc.nsw.gov.au/facility-drop-off
