🎉 Community Fun Day — 28th March 🎉

This day began as a thank you to our CFA and emergency services after the bushfires.

🚒 Carlisle River Fire Brigade will be there with the fire truck!

Come along, enjoy the day, and say thank you to those who supported our community when it mattered most.

With another planned burn at Lorne today and the wind still in the East there's a strong likelihood there'll be visible smoke in the Gelli Kawarren area again.

On Sunday we received a certificate of appreciation for our efforts this summer along with representatives from Gellibrand, Carlisle, Beeac, the Corangamite Group and the Colac SES.

🔥TOMORROW, Tuesday 17 February, has been rated a day of extreme fire danger by the CFA.

Council, together with the Colac Neighbourhood House and the Colac & District Pastoral & Agricultural Society, will operate two Relief in Place venues. These venues will be open from 10am.

👩‍👦Without Pets
Access indoor venues such as COPACC, Bluewater, Salvation Army centres, or local restaurants.

🐈With Companion Pets
The Colac Neighbourhood House (23 Miller Street, Colac) will be available for people with domestic companion pets (small dogs and cats).

🐎With Pets or Large Animals
The Colac Showgrounds (Bruce Street, Colac) offers holding yards, stalls and pens for larger animals.

You can also find a list of Cool Places that will be open for people to seek respite from the heat on Council's website.
