What a great opportunity. Thanks Natalie Marr.

We did the deal to bring the biggest team in the world to our State - and now young Queenslanders can be a part of it.

If you’re a Queensland footballer aged 7–15, this is your chance to walk onto the field alongside Brazil’s superstars! 🇧🇷⚽️

Five winners in Townsville and five in Brisbane will each receive a Brazil player uniform, one junior ticket and two adult tickets, as well as the chance to walk onto the field alongside the Brazilian team.

Entries are open now through Football Queensland, with winners notified on or before Monday 21 September.

Good evening all, it’s with regret that I need to inform you that vice president Cassie has resigned her position due to personal reasons we are also going to lose our secretary Teyrnon. Both of these people have been great on the committee.
I will be looking to take nominations on Tuesday night for these positions as we have a few positive leads going on in our committee it would be great to fill vacant positions.

There are 3 vacancies, Vice President, Treasurer & Secretary.

Non of these positions are tedious or really time consuming. I will support you all the way.

If you’re interested please email me on [email protected]

I look forward to hearing from potential applicants. If you have a friend or family member that might be interested please pass on their details.

If you want to know more call me on

Delivering for Upper Ross:

Exciting Plans Ahead
Since being elected to represent the Upper Ross, I’ve been working hard to deliver real outcomes for our community. To date, I’ve logged 378 jobs, with only 20 outstanding—and I’m committed to getting those completed as soon as possible.
One of the biggest wins has been securing approval for recreational fishing at the dam, and I’m thrilled to share that Stage Two, which will allow boating on the dam, isn’t far off. This will be a game-changer for locals and visitors alike.
We’ve also had some fantastic projects come to life:

✅ Pontoon approved for Loam Island – anticipated completion by March 2026
✅ Special needs swing installed at Charles Moroney Park
✅ Coles, Banjo’s Bakery, and Snap Fitness – all in progress and achieved within my first year

And there’s more on the horizon! We’re currently in talks to establish a motocross club in Upper Ross—something I know many residents will be excited about. Stay tuned for updates.
With Mayor Nick Dametto now on deck, things are moving in the right direction. He’s visited Upper Ross several times and is fully supportive of the projects underway. It’s great to have that level of backing for our community.
Lastly, Riverway Drive is still under construction, and I can’t wait to see the finished result—it’s going to make a huge difference.
