Today is National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day.

The strongest cultures don’t just teach children what to think. They teach them who they are.

Every child deserves to grow up knowing their story, their people, their language, and the strength that exists within them. Identity isn’t just something we’re born with, it’s something we nurture, protect, and pass on.

Culture builds confidence.
Connection builds resilience.
Belonging changes lives.

When we invest in our children, we’re not just shaping their future, we’re honouring the generations before them and strengthening the generations still to come.

Today is a reminder that every conversation, every story shared, every dance, every artwork, every walk on Country, and every moment spent together matters more than we often realise.

To all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children: you are the continuation of the oldest living culture on Earth. Your voice matters. Your identity matters. Your future matters.

50 Years of Deadly🪃❤️

What an incredible day on Wednesday 8th July, celebrating 50 Years of NAIDOC with our community at our Annual Family Fun Day in Kempsey!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to celebrate, connect and make the day so special. From the cultural performances, community stalls and activities to seeing families, friends and community come together, it was a day filled with laughter, pride and connection.

A very special thank you to Cody Walker and Josh Addo-Carr for taking the time to join us, meet our community and help make the day one to remember. Your generosity, kindness and willingness to connect with everyone, especially our young people, made a lasting impact.

We also extend our sincere thanks to our Elders, volunteers, stallholders, performers, sponsors and everyone who helped make the event possible. Your support and dedication are what make days like this so memorable.
