We see many benefits in engaging with the community through social media platforms,

- be detrimental to the effective delivery of services to the community
- hamper our ability to be open and accountable to the community

While members of our community are able and welcome to post comments on our corporate pages, these accounts are monitored to make sure all posts comply with our guidelines. When posting content to our page, comments should not:
- harass, bully, incite violence, abuse, attack, threaten or discriminate against other users – this includes comments about an individual or group’s age, disability, gender, political leaning, race, religion or sexuality

- include profanities, obscene or offensive language
- provide other people’s personal information

-contain malicious software or files
-violate the terms of use of the social media platforms
-break the law (including violating copyright laws) or encourage others to do so

Failure to follow our policies and procedures may result in:
- untagging
- hiding of comments
- removal of comments
- removal of posts
- users being blocked from our social media pages

We reserve the right to remove comments and move the conversation to a private channel. We will do this if we feel the content is personal in nature or is affecting the enjoyment of the page for other visitors. Enquiries made on social media
We are unable to process formal requests for Council action made through social media comments. Feedback received on social media

Winter is approaching and so is the wood smoke from wood burning heaters across the shire.

Woodheaters can be managed to reduce smoke, which protects the health of you, your family and your neighbours.
