This week educators Cailah and Alivia attended the National Sorry Day event at the Kiama Pavilion. They spent the morning listening to powerful stories shared by Elders, learning more about the importance of this day, and taking part in a traditional smoking ceremony. We are grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a meaningful community event 🖤💛❤️

Our team participated in an inspiring professional development workshop with early childhood consultant Stella Stead, reflecting deeply on Quality Area 5, relationships, emotional safety, attachment theory and strengthening relational pedagogy within our service. The session encouraged powerful conversations around consistency, connection, reflective practice and how children experience belonging, trust and emotional security in early learning environments. We are committed to continually growing as educators to ensure every child at Dido Street ELC feels safe, seen, valued and connected each and every day 🤗

Today we received our AED (defibrillator) ❤️

A huge thank you to Tamara and Carly from Carly’s Helping Hearts for their passion in educating and empowering people with the knowledge and skills to help save a life.

Through their work, they also provide opportunities for services and communities to better equip themselves through access to AEDs.

At Dido Street ELC, we want our families and local community to know that if ever someone nearby is in need of a defibrillator, our service is a safe place to come by spreading the word not just here but in letter box drops ❤️

From tiny eggs to fluffy little chicks 🐣✨
Over the last fortnight, our children have experienced the magic of life unfolding right before their eyes. Since last Monday, excitement has filled our centre as everyone eagerly checked in each day to see if the chicks had hatched yet and what a special moment it was when they finally arrived! 💛
Watching the chicks grow and develop has sparked so much curiosity, wonder and joy among our little learners. 🐣🍃
