Ugadi Celebration 2026
Telugu Association of South Australia
🇦🇺 Namaskāraṁ, Niina Marni, G’day!
Today we come together in the beautiful 123 year old Woodville Town Hall, built in 1903, to celebrate Ugadi Telugu New Year Celebrations in the City Of Charles Sturt:
We love City Of Charles Sturt
Local, fresh, SA Made
Vegies, curries, rice
A smorgasbord for apetite
Family, friends, fire
A diversity of desire
Laughter, Love, Life
The atmosphere at TASA - just right 🙌🏻
🇮🇳 A beautiful start to the Ugadi Celebration filled with culture, connection, and joy. From traditional food and festivities to laughter shared among family and friends, the spirit of togetherness was truly alive.
🇦🇺 In my role as Councillor Khuyen Tran, it was an honour to be Mayor Angela Evans' delegate and acknowledge the incredible work of TASA in bringing our community together. Events like Ugadi reflect the heart of our city, "Unity in Diversity", where people from all backgrounds feel welcomed, connected, and proud to belong.
It was lovely to join with colleague Mr Rajendra Pandey (member of the SA Multicultural Commision); Councillor Senthil Chidambaranathan; and Mr KD Singh - Each with our own personal story as to how our journey has interconnected us to this very lucky destination, where we are proud to call Multicultural SA "Home".
🇮🇳 Ugadi is more than a celebration, it’s a reminder of our shared journey, our rich heritage, and the strength of our community across generations.
🇦🇺 Congratulations to Mr Naveen Kondaveeti, President, Telegu Association of SA; TASA members, the organising committee, emcees, and volunteers -
Wishing everyone a joyful and prosperous Ugadi!
