The court date is fast approaching to hear Regis' appeal on the section 10 declaration, but the company now has an alternative Tailings proposal method which prevents putting a Tailings Dam at the headwaters of the river (well done to all involved in the successful protection order!).

We're expecting initial scoping documents in relation to the new proposal to be published in the coming days, watch this space...

Our Purpose

The organisation will critically examine projects that have the potential to cause environmental, economic, lifestyle, heritage and any other damage to the present rural amenity, community well-being and worth in the Headwaters of the Belubula River.

This area includes the Kings Plains, Fitzgerald Mount, Guyong Road, East Guyong, Vittoria and Dungeon Road districts, and more broadly, the NSW Central West. It will seek to raise public awareness and encourage community involvement in campaigning to reduce or halt the impact of inappropriate projects.

The Organisation will achieve this by lobbying community representatives, like-minded associations, the three levels of Government, regulatory authorities and commercial entities. The Organisation will engender community relationships and add social capital in this growing rural area.
