Today we celebrated our 60th anniversary, thank you to everyone who joined us - Councillor Peter Saxelby WDRC, Superintendent Chris Mitchell RFSQ, Inspector Nathan Greer, brigade members, community members and special guest 'Bushy'.

Although there have been many changes, one thing has not changed in 60 years ā€” the reason for our existence: community need.

We must always remember without the people ā€” our wonderful volunteer firefighters and support members ā€” the Kogan Brigade simply would not exist.
They are the heart of our organisation.

Do you have plans to conduct a hazard reduction burn over the coming days?
The Bureau of Meteorology is warning of a gusty wind change that could affect most of the state from Sunday and into early next week.
The current forecast indicates the change will hit southwest Queensland first but will extend up to North Queensland by Monday. It will leave a dry airmass over Queensland which could lead to locally high fire danger.
Please check your local conditions before doing any burning, as things could change quickly.
