🏈 🌊 SYDNEY WEST TOUCH FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS 🌊 🏈

We are incredibly proud of Levi, who has demonstrated outstanding perseverance, commitment and resilience this week.

After competing in the gruelling Sydney West Cross Country Carnival on Tuesday, Levi had just one day back at school before proudly representing the Hawkesbury in Touch Football today. Across four demanding games, the team came away with one win.

Levi’s week is a remarkable example of personal challenge, determination, skill and team spirit. No matter the occasion, he consistently gives his best and embraces every opportunity with a positive attitude and commitment.

We are so proud of Levi’s efforts and the way he models our school expectations each and every day as a respectful, responsible and resilient learner striving for excellence.

⚽🌊 SYDNEY WEST SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIPS 🌊⚽

A HUGE congratulations to Eve and Issy, who proudly represented the Hawkesbury Zone at the Sydney West Soccer Championships at Valentine Park. 🌟 🌟 🌟

The team had a fantastic day of competition, demonstrating great skill, teamwork and determination throughout the carnival. After a series of strong performances, Hawkesbury progressed all the way to the semi-finals, where they narrowly went down 1–0 in a hard-fought match.

While the result didn't fall their way, reaching the semi-finals at this level is a wonderful achievement and a testament to the effort and commitment shown by the entire team.

We are incredibly proud of Eve and Issy for the way they represented the Hawkesbury, our school and themselves. 👏⚽🌟

🏃‍♀️🌊 SYDNEY WEST CROSS COUNTRY CARNIVAL 🌊🏃‍♂️

Today, three of our remarkable students proudly represented the Hawkesbury region at the Sydney West Cross Country Carnival, demonstrating tremendous perseverance, resilience and determination as they competed against the strongest runners from across Western Sydney.

🌟 Congratulations to Elsie, who placed 47th. Elsie showed great resilience, a positive attitude and a willingness to challenge herself against some of the best runners in the region.

🌟 Congratulations to Levi, who achieved his best-ever result at a regional carnival, placing an outstanding 9th. In an incredibly competitive race, there was only one minute separating 1st place and 9th place - a testament to the quality of the field and Levi’s exceptional effort.

🌟 Congratulations to Issy, who placed 21st in a highly competitive field. Issy approached the challenge with her usual determination and effort, giving her all from start to finish and continuing her impressive year of sporting achievements.

Representing the Hawkesbury region at Sydney West is a remarkable accomplishment in itself, and we are so proud of the way all three students embraced the challenge and represented themselves and our school with pride.

Today our students and staff were treated to a very special Donut Day, and we couldn't be more grateful!

A HUGE thank you to our amazing P&C for coordinating this wonderful event and helping bring so many smiles to faces across the school.

A special shout-out goes to Mrs Horton (Chloe), who organised and delivered an incredibly generous donation of the most delicious cinnamon donuts from Donut King Richmond. 🥰 ✨

The sweet treat was thoroughly enjoyed by students and staff alike and made for a very memorable day. 🤤

💙 🌊 GROWING THROUGH EVERY DEBATE 🌊 💙

Our Year 5 debating team did a fantastic job taking on a challenging topic: "That all children under 12 years old should never have a smartphone." Arguing the affirmative side, our team spoke confidently and delivered some brilliant rebuttals throughout the debate.

While the result didn't go our way this time, our students showed wonderful maturity in reflecting on their debate and recognising that often our greatest growth comes from the challenges we face. ✨

We are incredibly proud of the resilience, teamwork and growth mindset shown by our debaters and look forward to seeing them continue to develop their skills throughout the year. 🌟

Today we joined schools right across the country to take part in National Simultaneous Storytime, sharing the wonderful story Luna Roo together. ✨

This beautiful story reminded us of the importance of never giving up, staying focused on our goals and believing in our own abilities -
powerful messages for us all.

A huge thank you to Mrs Flanagan and Mrs Tonkin for introducing this fantastic story to our school community. 🥰

Our students also looked amazing in their sports shirts today, helping bring the spirit of the story to life while adding plenty of colour and excitement to the day! 🏉⚽🏀

🏃‍♀️ 🌊 HAWKESBURY ZONE CROSS COUNTRY CARNIVAL 🌊 🏃‍♂️

Our students proudly represented our school today at the Hawkesbury Zone Cross Country Carnival, taking on what felt like all four seasons in one day! Despite the changing conditions, students gave their all and embraced the challenge.

Cross country is as much a mental challenge as it is a physical one, and our students demonstrated incredible courage, resilience and determination as they completed the demanding 2km and 3km courses.

We are incredibly proud of the way our students represented our school and congratulate the following students who will now progress to represent the Hawkesbury region at the Sydney West Regional Carnival after achieving outstanding results in their age groups:

🥉 Issy – 3rd Place 12/13 years girls (3km)
🥇 Levi – 1st Place 12/13 years boys (3km)

🚶‍♂️🌊 WALK SAFELY TO SCHOOL DAY 🌊🚶‍♀️

What a fantastic morning we had today celebrating Walk Safely to School Day!

Over 50 students joined us at the park for a play with friends before walking safely to school together. It was wonderful to see so many students enjoying time outdoors, staying active and starting the day with smiles and laughter.

Events like this are a great reminder of the importance of road safety, healthy habits and the value of coming together as a community.

🩵 🌊 A HUGE THANK YOU TO OUR AMAZING P&C 🌊 🩵

We are incredibly grateful to our wonderful P&C, who have spent several years fundraising to provide our school with 30 brand new laptops for our students.

In an even more exciting outcome, they also secured additional funding through Bendigo Bank for a further 15 laptops — bringing the total to an incredible 45 new devices for our students to use and enjoy. 🤩

This generous contribution will support student learning for many years to come and is another example of the dedication our P&C show towards creating the very best opportunities for our students. We are so lucky to have such a hardworking and supportive P&C. Thank you for everything you do for our students and school. 🥰

We would also like to sincerely thank our school community who continue to support P&C fundraisers, events and initiatives throughout the year. Every raffle ticket purchased, volunteer hour given and event supported contributes directly to opportunities such as this for our students. 🥰
