🌟 Today, some of our talented students had the fantastic opportunity to participate in a chess workshop led by Mr Hawkes! ♟️

He was very impressed with not only their chess skills, but also their excellent manners and wonderful collaboration throughout the session.

A big thank you to Mr Hawkes for this wonderful experience as we continue to prepare our students for upcoming competitions. We’re proud of our players and excited to see their growth both on and off the board!

✨ Fathers Day RSVP Reminder! ✨

Don’t forget to RSVP for our Father’s Day Breakfast by tomorrow Tuesday 1 September.

Please make sure you RSVP via Sentral and include the number of adults and children attending. This will help us plan catering and ensure we have enough for everyone.

We can’t wait to celebrate all the wonderful dads, grandfathers and father figures in our school community!

🌟 Congratulations to our amazing students! 🌟

We are so proud of those who received Principal’s Awards, Class Awards, and Honours Awards at Friday’s assembly.

A big thank you to 2/3L for their entertaining class item, and a special congratulations to KM for displaying such lovely manners throughout the assembly; you set a wonderful example for all.

📚🎉 What an amazing week at our school!

Our Book Fair was a huge success, bringing so much excitement and joy to our readers. We loved seeing all the outstanding costumes during the Book Character Parade… such creativity and imagination from our students!

A heartfelt thank you to Mrs Davies for her incredible organisation in making these events run smoothly. We also extend our gratitude to the many families and grandparents who joined us to celebrate Grandparent’s Day, making the day truly special. A big thank you as well to HCOS Pre-school for joining in the fun and helping us celebrate literacy together!

A big shoutout to our P&C for providing a delicious treat that everyone enjoyed, and thanks to everyone who supported the book fair. Your enthusiasm and participation made it all possible.

Our students recently had an exciting visit from the Life Education program! The engaging sessions focused on healthy choices, personal wellbeing, and safety in everyday life. Students enjoyed interactive activities (including the always popular Healthy Harold!) and learned valuable lessons about nutrition, friendships, and making positive decisions.
Thank you to the Life Education team for inspiring our students and supporting their wellbeing. We look forward to putting what we’ve learned into practice every day.

🎈As part of National Science Week, KM students explored elasticity and static electricity through hands-on balloon experiments. They wrote their names on balloons, blew them up and observed how their names changed as the balloons stretched. They then rubbed balloons on their hair to create static electricity and investigated how the charged balloons could attract and pick up small pieces of paper.🎈
