In 1962 we changed our name to Cessnock Maitland Junior Soccer Association. Gradually increasing in size we became known as Hunter District Junior Soc
cer Association in 1976 proudly wearing maroon and blue as our Zone colours, and becoming an Incorporated Body in 1991. Our first Representative shirts were made for us by the Women at the Cessnock Correctional Centre, allowing us to compete in the State Championships with 10 other Member Associations of Northern NSW. At the Annual General Meeting in 1993 it was agreed that we would change our name to Hunter Valley Soccer Association Inc, our first name as an Incorporated Body. Our history leads us to where we are today, operating as Hunter Valley Football Association Incorporated since 2007, continuing to provide football and Member support in our Zone. The Administration of the Association was carried out by the Volunteer Board Members until April 2014 when an Office Manager was appointed and we moved to an office space. We now operate with professional paid staff and continue to be proudly supported and driven by our Volunteer Executives.
