We’re home to free-ranging Kangaroos, Emus and Wallabies as well as habitats featuring Koalas, Echidna, Wombats, Quolls, Dingoes and more. In the Park’s reptile house you’ll find native Snakes, Lizards and Turtles. Bird-lovers can get up close to Cockatoos, Parrots, Satin Bower-birds, Owls and even the Endangered Bush Stone-curlew. We are devastated to share the sad news that Gumnut, the koala joey our members so joyfully named recently, has passed away.
Our devoted keepers had noticed signs he wasn't developing so he, along with mum Freckles, were sent to Healesville Sanctuary's Australian Wildlife Health Centre for additional support. Unfortunately despite best efforts, he progressively failed to thrive.
We know our members and visitors will be saddened by this news, as our team is. His life may have been brief, but he touched us all. 🐨❤️

Meet Freckles the Koala! 🐨
Freckles is a four-year-old female koala who recently arrived from Ballarat Wildlife Park and has quickly brought new energy to the habitat. Active throughout the day, visitors can spot her moving from pole to pole or enjoying a snack alongside her roommate, Waru. With two distinctive white spots on her cheeks — and a very gentle nature — Freckles is already a much-loved addition.

Senior Conservation Biologist Dr Marissa is up in the Victorian Alps and spotting lots of Endangered Bogong Moths at the end point of their epic migration.
