Scholastic Book Fair Opens tomorrow!!

The KPS Book Fair is well on its way with all classes now having the chance to visit and fill in their Wish List.
Tomorrow until the 8th May, parents will have the opportunity to come in, have a look around, and make purchases. Eftpos facilities are available at the fair. If you have paid online, please make sure to add the receipt number to the back of your child's Wish List and return it to school so we can fill the order. Please ensure your child's name is on the front and the books you wish to purchase are written clearly.

And don't forget to make a donation to the REACH Siem Reap Gold Coin Quest!

Reach Siem Reap do a wonderful job in Cambodia supporting the education of children living in poverty. They have built a school that offers free education to those unable to attend the Public School, including English & Ethics, complemented by electives in Art, Gardening, Computer, Sports, Workshops, and Reading Literacy.

Reach Siem Reap have just finished building a library for their students so it would be fantastic if we can raise funds to go towards purchasing new books for the children.

If you can spare a gold coin or some loose change, you can help make a big difference. Or you can make a donation made to our school account using REACH Siem Reap as the reference.

Each donation will have your child's name written on an owl and displayed on our tree in the gallery. When the fair is over and donations are sent to REACH, the owls will be sent to Cambodia to hang in their new library.

Let's help their imagination grow through reading.

Gold Coin Donation Quest for REACH Siem Reap
This year during our Book Fair we are having a fundraiser for a community in Cambodia. REACH Siem Reap offers a variety of programs which work to lift children and their families out of poverty. Follow this link to find out about the amazing programs available to the community.

They run a free school for children whose families can’t afford the public school. They also can’t go if they don’t have a birth certificate and family book. We are asking for a gold coin donation, loose change or even eftpos payments direct to KPS, using REACH Siem Reap as the reference, for them to purchase books for the new library. In return your child’s name will be put on an owl to hang on our tree. Once the fair is over we will send them to the school to display in their library.

So please dig deep and see how far we can REACH to help bring the children’s’ imaginations to life through reading.

Things are looking very exciting at our 2025 Scholastic Book Fair.

Today students will start viewing the books and filling out their wish lists. There’s some great looking books to choose from. I might have to get my own list started for Christmas gifts.

After they have done their lists, students will take it home for you to look at. Maybe have a chat about their choices with them.

Fill in what you want from their list and add the price. Fill in the details on the back and please make sure to add your receipt number if paying online on the Scholastic payment site. Then send it back to school. And that’s it!

The fair will be open to families to come and purchase books from Friday 2nd May till Thursday 8th May at the following times.

8:45am-9:30am

3pm-3:45pm

Please allow a couple of weeks for your order to be filled.

Re-launch the Kyneton Primary School Parents and Friends (P&F) for 2022 on behalf of the School Council

Dear KPS Community

On behalf of the School Council, I would like to invite the KPS community to attend an event to re-launch the Kyneton Primary School Parents and Friends (P&F) for 2022 (see attached).

The last two years have been challenging for all of us, and the role that the Parents and Friends group plays is important in making broader connections across the school community, as well as coming together to support each other, have fun and raise funds for school improvements.

Some previous office bearers from the P&F will be on hand to provide more information regarding this important committee, and the various roles that need to be filled.
