🏃‍♀️🏃 Athletics Carnival - 800m & 1500m 🏃🏃‍♂️

As previously advised, our 2026 Junior (Prep - Yr 2) Athletics Carnival will be held on Tuesday 16th June on our school oval. The junior carnival will run from 8:50am - 10:35am.

The Senior (Yr 3-6) Athletics Carnival will be held on Thursday 18th June at Skippy Park. The Senior Carnival will be an all day event. Students are to come to school first for roll marking and will travel by bus with their class to/from Skippy Park. Please refer to the QParents permission form for full details.

Please note that the 800m & 1500m races will be held at school prior to the Senior Athletics Carnival.

📆 800m: (9-12yrs students) will be held on Monday 15th June from 10:40am - 11:20am.

📆 1500m: (10-12yrs students) will be held on Tuesday 16th June from 10:40am - 11:20am.

Parents and carers are welcome to join us for these events. 🏃‍♂️🏃🏃‍♀️

This afternoon, our students were lucky to experience the Didjeribone Show, an interactive performance combining the ancient traditions of the didgeridoo with modern music technology, captivating students with its energy, creativity and cultural storytelling.

Prep K have been busy growing sunflowers as part of our English unit on informative texts and our Science unit on living things. Today, we planted our sunflower seedlings for our school community to enjoy and watch grow. 🌻

Beerwah State High School is excited to accept applications for our 2026 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 — STEP — from current Year 6 students.

STEP aims to enrich the educational experience of selected students from across the Glasshouse Coalition of schools in areas including:

🧪 Science
🎨 Art
💃 Dance
🛠️ Design Technology
🏃 Sports Development

Students selected for STEP will demonstrate a genuine passion and ability in their chosen area.

Applications are now open for current Year 6 students who will be entering high school in 2027.
