Our very first Lane Cove Public School Father’s Day Gift Stall is happening TOMORROW - Thursday 3 September! 🎁

During school hours, the kids will have the chance to do a little shopping of their own and choose something special for Dad, Pop or Grandpa. 💚

💰 Don’t forget to send your child with $2, $5 or $10 cash - or a combination - and our wonderful volunteers will help them find the perfect gift!

There’ll be plenty of great gifts to choose from, and we can’t wait to see what our little shoppers pick! 🥰

🎓 PRINCIPAL FOR THE DAY! 💚

There were a few new faces helping to run Lane Cove Public School today, with some very important students stepping into the Principal’s shoes - and a few other special roles - for the day! 🙌

So… how did their leadership go?

When we asked Mr McKinnon whether everyone had enjoyed their day, he laughed:

“Well… they extended lunch by 6 minutes!” 😂👏

We’re calling that a very popular first executive decision. 🍎⏰

Experiences like these are among the special prizes secured by families through our P&C fundraising events, including Trivia Night, with funds raised going straight back into supporting our school and students. 💚

A huge thank you to our families for getting behind these fundraisers - and to Mr McKinnon and the LCPS team for making these experiences so memorable for our kids.

We’re not sure the six-minute lunch extension will become permanent policy… but we suspect it has the student vote! 😂💚

The kids can independently choose something special for Dad, Pop or Grandpa, with gifts available for $2, $5 and $10.

There’ll be plenty of great gifts to choose from, and our wonderful volunteers will be there to help every little shopper find the perfect one. 🎁✨

💚 THANK YOU, TEACHERS & STAFF! 💚

As Lane Cove Public School celebrates 150 years, it feels like the perfect opportunity to recognise the people who make our school what it is every single day - our incredible teachers and staff. 🫶🏼

They are the people who show up each day with care, patience and encouragement. Who teach, guide, support and celebrate our children. Who notice when someone needs a little extra help, encourage them to keep going and create a place where our kids can learn, grow and feel that they belong. 💚

And as parents, that means more to us than we can ever really say.

To mark this very special milestone, many LCPS parents contributed warm messages of appreciation to group cards for our teachers, sharing just how much their care and dedication mean to our children and families. 💌

The P&C also gifted each member of our wonderful teaching and staff team a special embroidered 150th Anniversary apron as a small keepsake from this milestone year.

Because while buildings, classrooms and playgrounds are all part of a school’s history, it’s the people who create its heart.

To our teachers and staff, past and present - thank you for everything you bring to our school and for the difference you make in the lives of our children.

You are such an important part of the LCPS story. 💚✨

The countdown to the 2026 Lane Cove Fun Run is on… and our brand-new Fun Run T-shirts and hats are arriving this week! 🙌

Whether you’re running, cheering from the sidelines or simply want to rep one of Lane Cove’s favourite community events, you’ll soon be able to get your hands on some official Lane Cove Fun Run gear. 💚

🏫 LCPS families: You can get in early! Fun Run merchandise is now available through MunchMonitor, and students are invited to wear their Fun Run gear to school every Wednesday in the lead-up to race day.

A huge thank you to LCPS for getting behind the Fun Run spirit! 🙌
