Gunns has been logging forests in Tasmania since its establishment in 1875. We have also proudly been assisting the State through political endorsements, negotiations, incentives and donations. We are an active political player and can proudly boast a range of desired outcomes achieved through careful manipulation and strategic deployment of incentives to State politicians past and present.
The Gunns Pulp Mill will be the first in its class to:

>Be built illegally with construction commencing once permits lapse
The Gunns Bell Bay Pulp Mill has 100% support from the people of Tasmania; an unprecedented and overwhelming level of support for a project long anticipated for the extra jobs it will create and its likeliness to restore world peace, resurrect Jesus, and cure cancer.
