It was a pleasure to represent the Council at the Northern Tasmanian Hockey Association awards presentation held this morning before the Div 3 Grand Final.

It was great to talk with those with a keen interest in seeing hockey continue to grow as a sport about Council's St Leonards Sports Complex Master Plan and the need for funding from all levels of government to bring the plan to life.

I've been busy out and about installing some election signs around town this week, but I'd love to have a few more particularly in West Launceston, Trevallyn, Swan Bay/Dilston and Lilydale areas. So please comment or send me a DM if you can help out and host one of my signs till the end of October. Cheers, Alan.

What a great day for footy to watch the sons of some good friends who were playing for Lilydale Reserves, taking on Old St Pats Reserves in a First Semi final in the NTFA Division 1 Final series.Unfortunately for the Demons, the Saints ran out big winners on tbe day.

A large crowd gathered for the Seniors where Old Scotch were playing my old team, Bracknell in a First Semi Final in the Seniors NTFA Division 1 Final series. Bracknell held on to record a 7 point win at the final siren 7.9 51 to 6.8 44.

Thank you so much to my friend and fellow Councillor for the past 8 years, Hugh McKenzie who is stepping down after 15 years around the Council table. Your words of wisdom and calm, assured manner will be sorely missed.

I know that you will continue to serve our Launceston community, while having more time to spend with Gina and your family and to work on your golf handicap.⛳️

'I hope people see I turn up. I've worked hard,' he said.
