Billie Booksie says thank you to Meg who created a number of baby Billies. Cathryn and Emily from Paint the Blue REaD, say how much children love to cuddle them when they are being read to at playgroup.

Billie Booksie is looking for the Paint the Blue ReAd story boxes that have been distributed to various Blue Mountains locations.
If you know where they are, please let us know so that we can refresh the books and move them if necessary to a more popular location.
Do you use a street library in your area? Let us know what you think about Billie having a street library at the Mid Mountains Neighbourhood Centre.

For International Women's Day and beyond, let's all fully . Equity isn't just a nice-to-have, it's a must-have. A focus on gender equity needs to be part of every society's DNA. And it's critical to understand the difference between equity and equality.

The aim of the IWD 2023 campaign theme is to get the world talking about Why equal opportunities aren't enough. People start from different places, so true inclusion and belonging require equitable action. We can all truly embrace equity.

It's not just something we say. It's not just something we write about. It's something we need to think about, know, value and embrace. It's what we believe in, unconditionally. Equity means creating an inclusive world.

Billie Booksie and the Paint the Blue Read team were invited to ACRC’s recent Survival Day event in Katoomba. What a wonderful day.
Billie was able to meet and read with lots of children on the day, and give away books for them to take home and share with their families.

This coming week is International Book Giving Day.
To celebrate, Billie Booksie is giving every child that attends Playgroups at Belong a book to take home and share with their family.
Billie loves the thought that children and their families will read together in a quiet and special moment.

Storytime at the library is a wonderful weekday event. The benefits of reading to children include language development, concentration development, bonding relationships, school readiness. Billie Booksie loves storytime both at the library and at playgroup.

Billie Booksie from Paint the Blue Read was out and about today in the park with all our playgroup families, along with those from MOCS and ACRC.
It was such a beautiful day and Billie was able to read and give away books to families of the Blue Mountains.
