This RAP was developed over 2 years in consultation with internal stakeholders and importantly in consultation with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.

Randwick City Council Reconciliation Australia La Perouse Local Aboriginal Land Council Gujaga Foundation

After a 2 year break due to Covid, Koojay is back, and this year you will witness immersive cultural story telling through dance and fashion. Enjoy the incredible talents from traditional and contemporary dance groups and a fashion parade from Buluuy Mirri.

Every year, there is an expectation that we all have a part to play in reconciliation and this year’s National Reconciliation Week theme ‘Be brave. Make change.’ is a tribute to that. Be Brave and tackle the unfinished business of reconciliation so we can Make Change for the benefit of all Australians.

The event is held on Coogee Beach on Friday 27 May at 11am and is attended by residents, visitors and local schools.
