CELEBRATING SASS WEEK 2026 👏🏻🎉

Today our teaching team and our absolutely wonderful OGPS P&C celebrated our SASS team in style with a delicious morning tea! Our SASS team work so hard to enable the smooth running of our school, student learning needs and student health concerns.

The SASS team assist with:
• managing the school office and administrative tasks
• upkeep and maintenance of the school grounds, including liaising with external tradespeople
• overseeing the health care needs of our students including the administration of medication
• cleaning up student “accidents” – it happens!
• helping teachers with learning programs
• aiding students with additional needs under the guidance of teachers... all with a smile on their faces!

We had a ball celebrating them today! We hope you can make special mention when you see them this week!

BEHIND THE SCENES WITH OUR FIRST NATIONS STUDENTS 💛❤️🖤

We’re honoured to share a preview of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander collaborative artwork as we prepare for our biennial art show, Gallery 2040. Guided by Year 5 student Ivy, this piece celebrates our Orange Grove Public School's First Nations students. Each component tells an individual story, and the Country names featured recognise the places that connect our students and families.

FEELING SUNNY SIDE UP 💛🎉☀️🟡

$565.85 raised! Orange Grove Public School went YELLOW to support the Cancer Council and families in need! From yellow socks to bright yellow tutus — everyone's splash of sunshine was amazing! A huge thank you to all who supported our PM/Minister for Fundraising's initiative. What a beautiful way to show we care!

GALLERY 2040 ART SHOW PREPARATIONS 🎨👨‍🎨
BEHIND THE SCENES WITH KINDY 🏮✨🎈

Kindergarten Ha Long Bay and Miss Ross have been working hard in preparation for the OGPS Biennial Art Show, GALLERY 2040. This year's theme is "Exploring the Atlas". They’ve been testing their paper mache skills to create beautiful Vietnamese-inspired lanterns. Lots of patience, glue and teamwork... we think the results are going to be worth it!

SUNDAY FUNDAY AT DRUMMOYNE! ☀️🎉🎢

Thank you to our friends at Drummoyne Public School for hosting such a wonderful Spring Fair. Our Stage 1 Choir and Rayner St Dance Company were proud to take centre stage as part of the morning entertainment. It was lovely seeing so many OGPS families enjoying the rides, food and sunshine together! Special thanks to Ms Xenos, Miss Srejic and Mr Tan for giving up their Sunday morning so our littlest performers could shine!

WAY TO GO RAYNER ST DANCE COMPANY! 💛

What a way to start the weekend! Congratulations to our Rayner St Dance Company — Winners of the Infants Dance Category at the Dance Life Unite National Dance Competition at UNSW Science Theatre!

Competing against 3 private/independent schools with their routine "Ride the Wave", our youngest dance company danced their hearts out and took the win for the OGPS Dance Department AND for public education! For many of these dancers, this was their very first time on stage under the bright lights. Their kindness towards other schools and exemplary behaviour backstage was beautiful to watch too!

Huge shout out to super coach Miss Srejic and choreographer Miss Georgia from Groove Nation — a dynamic duo now 2 years strong! Special thanks to all the families, we couldn't do this without you!

POPSTAR PATHWAYS 🇦🇺🟢🟡🎵

Stage 2 went on a "Popstar Pathways" journey in Performing Arts! Years 3 and 4 mastered song structure, tone colour, and storytelling, rewriting hits to celebrate our athletes who competed in the Glasgow Commonwealth Games. Their talent and teamwork created anthems every Australian would be proud of! Check out this reimagined pop hit from these students in 3Barrier Reef.

BOOK WEEK CELEBRATIONS 2026 🎉📚😍

Symphony of Stories was in full swing today! So much fun was had by all with SO many characters at our annual K-2 Book Character Parade and 3-6 Dress Up! From classic fairytales to modern favourites, Orange Grove Public School was bursting with imagination. A huge thank you to Mr Graham for his amazing coordination!
