TRACKDOWN TAKEOVER 🎤🎶✨

This vocal trio are hitting all the right notes! Day 1 of the 3-day Boys’ Vocal Workshop at Trackdown Studios and Mark, Xander & Josh from Stage 3 are already shining bright! This annual event, led by The Arts Unit, brings together 120+ of NSW’s most passionate male vocalists from Years 5-12 and our boys are right in the mix.

Day 1 ✅ 2 songs down — including an original composition
Day 2 ⏭️ Music video filming
Day 3 ⏭️ Studio recording with pro sound engineers

So proud of Mark, Xander & Josh for representing OGPS Performing Arts as we kick off the 2026 Performance Season in just 48 hours!

Remember Emerald Dance Company’s ‘Rain Dance’? 🌧️ The Class of 2023 brought the stage to life with spectacular choreography by Miss Amy and Miss Bec from Groove Nation, coached and mentored by our own Mr Tan and Ms Boulos. Talent, dedication, and pure teamwork. That’s the award-winning OGPS dance way!

3BARRIER REEF ARE DINGO DEFENDERS 🐕📝💚

After reading Wandi by Favel Parrett, 3Barrier Reef dived into the world of dingoes and learned some wild facts.

They then created persuasive pamphlets to show:
➡️ Dangers dingoes face
➡️ Why they’re important
➡️ How we can protect them

From researching different sources to nailing purpose, audience + layout… these students worked so hard. Topped off with their own amazing illustrations! Huge effort, 3Barrier Reef!

OGPS AT EduTECH 2026 👨‍💻🖥✅️

We are proud to share that our very own Mr Scott McBain, Stage 3 Assistant Principal, presented at EduTECH Australia 2026, showcasing Orange Grove Public School’s digital transformation journey.

With the support of Miss Kate Jones, former Assistant Principal of OGPS, the presentation highlighted how purposeful use of technology has strengthened communication, collaboration and teacher confidence across our school, creating more efficient systems and supporting improved teaching and learning outcomes.

It was a fantastic opportunity to share our story and learn alongside educators from across Australia!

HUMAN BODY PROJECTS ❤️📝✂️

Our Stage 3 students have begun showcasing their incredible Human Body Systems projects, combining scientific research, detailed 3D models and informative one-pagers to demonstrate their understanding of how the body’s systems work together. Gallery Walks have commenced, where students are confidently presenting their learning to younger classes, explaining complex scientific concepts in engaging and age-appropriate ways. These will continue this week!
