🌏 MultiLink Celebrates Harmony Week in Action

Last Friday 21st, to round out Harmony Week, MultiLink held a vibrant community event that brought people together in a powerful way.

With a strong turnout, cultural dress, shared food, and genuine connection across cultures, the space was full of energy, pride, and belonging, a true reflection of our community.

A big thank you to everyone who attended and contributed, with special appreciation to Mary, OoLar, Katrina and the team for making it happen.

This is what community looks like.

🌏 MultiLink Celebrates Harmony Week 2026

At MultiLink, we see every day how diversity strengthens our community. Harmony Week is a time to recognise and celebrate the cultures, languages, and stories that make our communities vibrant, connected, and inclusive.

With more than 300 ancestries represented across Australia, Harmony Week is a reminder that everyone belongs. From shared meals and music to language, culture, and connection, our differences are what bring us together.

This week, and every week, MultiLink is proud to stand alongside our communities in promoting respect, inclusion, and a genuine sense of belonging for all.

🧡 Wear orange, start a conversation, and celebrate what makes our community unique.

💬 How are you celebrating Harmony Week this year? We’d love to hear from you in the comments.

As Ramadan begins, we send our warmest wishes to everyone observing this special month.

May this time of reflection and fasting bring peace to your hearts, strength to your spirit and meaningful moments with family, friends and community.

May the values of compassion, generosity and kindness that Ramadan inspires continue to uplift and connect us all.

Ramadan Mubarak.

MultiLink was proud to host another powerful Logan Pasifika & Māori Community Network Meeting yesterday afternoon, bringing together agencies, providers and key stakeholders committed to better outcomes for our Māori and Pasifika families.

This forum focused on NDIS Access, with valuable insights shared by Carers Queensland, Karakan and Queensland Family and Child Commission. Together, we explored the real barriers our communities face when navigating the National Disability Insurance Scheme, particularly around access, evidence requirements and culturally responsive engagement.

The breakout discussions were honest, solutions focused and grounded in lived experience. These gatherings continue to strengthen relationships, deepen collaboration and ensure our services are better aligned to the needs of our people.

Fa’afetai, ngā mihi nui and thank you to everyone who contributed.

We were proud to be a community sponsor for Waitangi Day, hosted by Te Korowai Aroha 🇳🇿✨

What a powerful day of culture, connection, and celebration of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Beautiful performances, shared kai (food), and meaningful conversations brought community together from all walks of life.

Thank you to everyone who attended, and to the organisers and volunteers who made the day such a success. A big mihi (shout-out) to Te Korowai Aroha for leading with heart and bringing community together.

Together, we continue to build connection, respect, and inclusion across cultures 🤝❤️

💛 Community in action at MultiLink 💛
The past few months at our Neighbourhood Centre have been filled with connection, culture, and care. From our Community Leaders and Connect Forum to supporting families during the festive season, it’s been a powerful reminder of what’s possible when community comes together.
We’ve loved connecting with so many incredible people and groups, sharing culture, laughter, and practical support when it’s most needed. None of this happens without our generous partners, volunteers, and community members who continue to show up for one another.
We’re also pleased to welcome OoLar as our new full-time Neighbourhood Community Worker, working closely alongside Mary, our Community Connect Worker. If you have any questions about our Neighbourhood Centre or how to get involved, please feel free to reach out to either of them.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed and supported this work. Together, we’re building a stronger, kinder, and more connected community 🤝🌏

We know all good things must come to an end, and so it was last week as we said ‘goodbye’ to another fabulous group of Cert I Hospitality Trainees at their Graduation event.

While goodbyes are always hard, it is exciting to know that so many of them are now employed in local cafes around Logan (we’ll be dropping in for a coffee soon!).

Well done to one and all!

If December is a time for Joy and Festive spirit, we certainly hit-the-right-note on Tuesday with a great BIG Graduation ‘celebration’ for our 2025 Cert III Individual Support participants.

What a great afternoon we had, hearing some heartfelt speeches from participants and moving words from staff. We have LOVED being part of this journey with everyone and are thrilled to know we have another bunch of fabulous people now employed (or soon to be) as Support Workers in Disability and Aged Care.

Thanks again to our partnered RTO – Blue Stone Medical for all their super work and effort. Along with the Qld Governments ‘Skilling Queenslanders for Work’ initiative, which makes it all possible.
